Summer Programs

2022 Summer Program dates: June 20 - July 15
(note: summer classes will not be held on Monday, July 4)

Our Summer Term multisensory learning experience helps students entering grades 2-7 strengthen their reading, writing, and math skills while having fun. Guided by specially trained staff, Summer Term students re-engage as learners in small group, hands-on lessons and activities in math, Academic Language Therapy, written expression, science, engineering, art, organized games/movement, and creative problem solving. Summer Term curriculum is adapted to meet the needs of each student to ensure that each child experiences school success.

Our Summer Term Jumpstart program helps students entering first grade to strengthen their emerging language arts and math skills while developing independence. Students participate in small group, hands-on activities in math, reading, spelling, handwriting, and oral expression. Facilitated by Rawson Saunders’ specially trained faculty members, the program is adapted to meet the needs of the students enrolled.

UPDATE: Our JumpStart (rising 1st graders), and rising 3rd and 4th grade Summer Term groups are now full. To be added to our waitlist for these grades, please submit the Summer Term Inquiry Form

HOW TO APPLY

Step 1: Submit Interest Form

To start the application process for Summer Term, submit this form. A member of our Admissions team will be in touch via email with the next steps for creating an account and completing the online application.

Step 2: Complete Online Application

Complete and submit the online application with the required supporting documents and application fee.

To submit the application, simply click the Fill Out button and complete the application form. Once submitted, you will receive an email with a confirmation of your submission and a copy of your application for your records. You will be assigned an admissions checklist that will help you to track your progress through the application process.

  • A completed admissions file includes the following required documentation for a student to be considered for our Rawson Saunders Summer Term:
    • The submitted application and application fee.
    • Two Teacher Insights Forms. These electronic forms can be sent directly to the teachers from the checklist.

Step 3: Committee Review and Campus Tour / Preview

The Admissions Committee reviews each completed file and invites qualified students and their parents/guardians to meet the Admissions staff and tour the campus for a Summer Term Preview. You can schedule your visit using the checklist in our online platform, Panther Portal. Parents/guardians will have the opportunity to take a campus tour while students will have the opportunity to engage in an activity with potential peers and our Admissions Team.

Step 4: Admissions Decision

The Admissions committee carefully reviews each candidate's file following their Summer Term Preview. Additional information may be requested from parents/guardians. The admissions office will notify parents/guardians by email of the decision. Those wishing to accept an offer of admission will then submit enrollment paperwork and a deposit to secure a spot in Summer Term.
