Flag Football at Rawson Saunders is a Coed sport that highlights the skills of regular American football without being a full-contact sport. The sport focuses on speed, agility, and hand-eye coordination.

Flag Football is open to all Rawson Saunders students in grades 5 - 8. Pending interest, boys and girls will play on the same team, but are not guaranteed to play against other co-ed teams. Flag Football is coached by Coach Clayton Kirkwood. 

What are the dates for the flag football season?
The 2023-24 Flag Football season will run from August - November 2023. There are no practices or games on school holidays or during school breaks.

When are practices and games?

• 1st Practice Date and Time: 8/21/23 @ 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

• Practice Days: Monday & Wednesday 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. 

• Game Days (Tentative): Tuesday and Thursday

Who can play?

How much does it cost ?
Parent accounts will be directly billed $350 for each team sport participation.

What materials are needed?
All players will be issued a uniform jersey that will be returned to the school at the end of the season. Athletes should provide their own cleats and black athletic shorts (without pockets).

How will my student get to and from games?
Rawson Saunders van transportation will be provided for all players from Rawson Saunders to all games that begin before 5:00 p.m.. Parents must provide game-day transportation for any game beginning after 5:00 p.m. Parents must also pick up their student at the end of all games at each game field location in a timely manner.

Soccer at Rawson Saunders focuses on the basic fundamentals of the sport such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense. It is a fast paced cardiovascular sport that requires agility, speed, and hand-eye coordination. Soccer is coached by Coach Bobby Rodriguez.

Soccer is open to all Rawson Saunders students in grades 5 - 8.

• 1st Practice Date and Time: 2/22/24 @ 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

• Practice Days: Monday & Thursday 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. 

• Game Days (Tentative): Tuesday and Thursday

Soccer is open to all Rawson Saunders students in grades 5 - 8. Pending interest, boys and girls will plan on the same team, but are not guaranteed to play against other co-ed teams.

All players will be issued a uniform jersey that will be returned to the school at the end of the season. Athletes should provide their own soccer cleats, shinguards, black athletic shorts (without pockets), and tall black soccer socks (to cover shin guards).

How will my student get to and from games?
Rawson Saunders van transportation will be provided for all players from Rawson Saunders to all games that begin before 5:00 p.m.. Parents must provide game-day transportation for any game beginning after 5:00 p.m. Parents must also pick up their student at the end of all games at each game field location in a timely manner.

Basketball is a fast-paced, cardiovascular sport that requires agility, speed, and hand-eye coordination. Boys basketball is coached by Coach Blake Edwards and girls basketball is coached by Coach Andra Carter.

The 2023-24 Basketball season  begins in November 2023. There are no practices or games on school holidays or during school breaks.

• 1st Practice Date and Time: 11/27/23 @ 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

• Practice Days: Monday & Wednesday 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. 

• Game Days (Tentative): Tuesday and Thursday

Parents can pick their student up at RS at 4:00 p.m., following each practice. For games, Rawson Saunders van transportation will be provided for all players from Rawson Saunders to all games that begin before 5:00 p.m.. Parents must provide game-day transportation for any game beginning after 5:00 p.m. Parents must also pick up their student at the end of all games at each game location in a timely manner.

Volleyball at Rawson Saunders highlights skills such as passing, serving, setting, spiking and digging. The Rawson Saunders volleyball coach is Coach Sarah DeLuca. 

Volleyball is open to female Rawson Saunders students in grades 5 - 8.

All players will be issued a uniform shirt that will be returned to the school at the end of the season. Athletes must provide their own knee pads (optional, but recommended), black athletic shorts or volleyball shorts (no pockets), and tennis shoes. 

How will my student get to and from practices and games?
