MAGNUS HEALTH:
Please complete all items on the Magnus Health checklist for the new school year. You can log in to Magnus by selecting the Magnus icon on the Panther Portal Resource Board.

Rawson Saunders is required to follow all federal and state immunization mandates. 

If your child is due for an immunization, or if additional vaccines have been administered since last year, we must have an updated record on file by the first day of classes - August 12, 2025. 

*All students in grades 7-8 must have proof of the meningococcal vaccination (MCV4).*

Exemption forms are good for two years after the date of notarization and must be submitted by the first day of school. 

Texas law requires that all students in 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th grades have vision, hearing, and acanthosis nigricans screenings. In addition, scoliosis screenings are required for girls ages 10 and 12, and boys ages 13 or 14. Your child’s pediatrician may complete screenings OR your student can be screened at Rawson Saunders in October 2025, but please note: fees apply.

An annual physical is required for any Rawson Saunders team sports participation.

We will need to have an Athletic Physical Form and an Athletic Permission Form on file prior to participation on a sports team at Rawson Saunders.

If your student has a severe allergy for which an EpiPen has been prescribed, an Anaphylaxis Action Plan must be completed by a healthcare provider and submitted to the school. Similarly, an Asthma Action Plan or a Seizure Disorder Action Plan is required if a student has a current diagnosis that would require medical treatment during the school day. You can use these forms or ones submitted by your doctor.

Only those medications that are medically necessary during school hours for a student's attendance or have been directed by a healthcare provider should be administered at school.  

All medications must be given by a parent or an adult directly to the school nurse. Each medication should be accompanied by a completed Medication Authorization Form. 

Aftercare is available for a fee until 5:30 p.m. each full school day (aftercare is not available on half days). The fee is $20/day for drop-ins and $15/day if scheduled and paid in advance by quarter or semester.

Rawson Saunders offers flag football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, and cross country to students in grades 4-8. To learn more about our sports programs here.

Questions regarding our after school sports teams can be directed to Coach Edwards. 

The Panther Portal contains student schedules, attendance, quarterly report cards, resource board links to important information, directories, and more. Please be sure regularly update your family and student contact information.

The school newsletter are emailed to parents every Thursday afternoon during the school year. Newsletters contain important information, reminders, and dates of upcoming events.

Rawson Saunders uses a texting platform to communicate urgent and timely information to our families. To opt in for messages about unplanned school delays or other important school updates, text YES to 79041. 

NOTE: We typically follow AISD for weather-related school closures and delays.
